August 31, 2005: People of Greece 4
This old woman was limping her way down the road in a village on the southwest part of Crete. She walked right in the middle of the road, and didn't seem to notice (or care) that we were in a car behind her, so we drove at 1/2 mph until she reached her destination.
The town we found this woman in was very religious -- right before sundown, the bells rang, and some voice over town-wide speakers told all the people to go and pray. It creeped me out a bit.
