May 17, 2005: Ukraine Festival
On the way back from Williamsburg, I passed a street fair, thinking that it was one of those horrible ones where you can buy socks, DJ mixes and $1 Pad Thai. However, it was the East Village's annual Ukraine Festival [the EV has a significant Ukrainian community]. A few hundred people were gathered around these two girls singing some Euro-pop songs.
Unrelated: Last night I saw Kasabian play at Bowery. I didn't take my camera because I've realized that a lot of my concert shots look very similar, so there will be no posting of the show. They put on a great concert; if you're able to pick up a ticket for tonight's concert, you should.
