April 11, 2005: Williamsburg Bridge 1
This weekend's weather made it impossible to stay inside inside. With my 20D finally in hand (the best camera I have ever owned), I walked across the Williamsburg Bridge. Well, actually it was half way across the bridge (I was tired and hungry).
The Willliamsburg Bridge is very different from the Brooklyn Bridge, as it has a much more industrial feel. While the Brooklyn Bridge feels like walking a boardwalk, as you walk on wooden planks and is wide open, the Williamsburg Bridge feels like factory, as it is a noisy and cramped. The Williamsburg Bridge also reminded me of The Gates before the material hung down.
Unrelated: I finally heard Arcade Fire this weekend. Two words: "They" and "Suck." Who signs these bands?
