September 26, 2004: Arches National Park 1
I just got back from an incredible trip to Moab, Utah (around 4 hours southeast of Salt Lake City) with Todd and Joe. However, it almost didn't happen. A few days before we were supposed to leave, I got really sick. The morning of the flight, I didn't feel much better. However, after taking a couple Zithromax and drinking tea (with rum to help me sweat it out and lemon for the Vitamin C) and TheraFlu for 6 hours straight, I decided to go anyway. Once I got there, I felt better immediately, and the virus didn't keep from doing anything except mountain bike (which I really wasn't enthusiastic about anyway).
These photographs are from the first day of hiking in Arches National Park. Hiking on the red sandstone felt like an expedition to Mars.
