September 13, 2004: 9/11 Memorial
I believe that the beams of light were the most appropriate way to honor the victims of 9/11: better than any plaque, any statue or any park. The mere sight of the beams of light gave me chills the entire evening. Nothing had to be said by anyone; all you had to do was look in the sky, and your heart sank.
