July 22, 2004: 7B
My kickball team lost a really bad game this week. However, that did not deter us from celebrating afterwards as if we had actually won the game.
There are many things that make 7B a great bar: the Big Buck Hunter arcade game, the vintage portait machine, the extensive beer selection (including Anchor Steam) at reasonable prices and the pinball machine.
How do dive bars like 7B get so dirty and why do they have such a distinct (read: not very good) smell? Is it created by deterioration over time? Is there purposeful bad upkeep to give it a sense of earthiness? Or is it the patrons?
